From what I can tell - the specs on the Z5500 are much superior to the new Sony line...

Motionflow at 100Hz where as the Z5500 is at 240Hz...

Am I mistaken or is the new range simply not as good as the Z5500??

Please enlighten me...

Are we being too quick to rush to judgement here? Are they merely misguided about the scope of the magazine? Might we suggest they try the Piano World forum? At least the question is comprehensible, unlike offerings from Flatscreen in his many guises. Unless this is a new tack, though I couldn't comment on the current range of Sony pianos!

If you are looking for a model comparable to the Z5500 you need to look at the HX703, not the EX range.

Oh, and the Z5500 was 200Hz in the UK.

An upright cheap Kawai piano or Yamaha would be fine....for beginners - it is not recommended to get anything else unless your child develops the passion and ability to continue to practice and play for many years into the future...then get an upgrade...

And now BACK to my original question...
