Is this TV being discontinued or are they continuing to manufacture this TV??

Also do you think this tv could get a possible price drop anytime soon?

All last year's 4500 Sony TVs are gradually being replaced by the new 5500 models, so you may see some discounting on the 'Z'. Well worth getting if you can find one at a decent price.

i am returning my 40w4500 due to having two and still problems with it. Now i have found the z4500 for 1299.99, or i can get the 46w5500 for the same price. What do you recomend?

The 40Z4500 is a great set, if a little pricey when we tested it. Haven't seen the KDL-46W5500 yet, but you can read our review of the smaller Sony KDL-40W5500 here on the site.
