Having missed out on a nicely priced ex-display Panasonic PX80 and being a bit put off by the underwhelming reviews for the new X10B, I have turned my attention to the newer Sony panels. I had basically made up my mind for the 37v5500 before I saw the older 40w4000 for a very good price.
Just wondering which people would recommend, if I could theoretically get the the newer 37 or older 40 for a similar price. I know that newer technology is usually better, but would ideally prefer 40" and the 40w4000 did get some impressive reviews!
Will be mainly watching SD (Sky+, potential upgrade to HD later) and playing my PS3
