Sky + ??

Ive got sky + along with the kit below, do i also put a feed thru the Yamaha for the Sky+ as well...still confused as to how all this new kit goes together, and need to get it all clear in my head before it gets delivered next week.

If you want to hear the Sky+ sound through the amp and speakers, yes you do.

I'd connect the Sky+ direct to the TV using HDMI, with an optical digital connection from Sky+ to the Yamaha amp.

Connect the Samsung BD player via HDMI to the Yamaha, and the Yamaha via HDMI to the TV.

Job done.

If it's standard sky+ then I would connect direct to the TV scart and set to rgb, 16:9 and ensure scart control is on in the picture settings menu. Then hook up the optical cable as mentioned above and ensure it is set to optical in the sound settings menu.

Alternatively, you could hook the sky+ box up via s-video and turn video conversion on on the amp and output over hdmi. RGB via SCART should offer the best picture though.
