I have just run CAT 6 cabling around my house and am buying Hamilton Eurofix modules to terminate the conections in the rooms, but do I buy shielded or unshielded ?

Thanks in advance

Unshielded, is easier to install and you do not need to worry about accidentally shorting with the shield.

Cat6 Twisted pair nullifies its own EM field, as does Cat5 UTP. Thus unless you need to shield the connectors/cable from a particular source if interference, go with unshielded.

We don't bother using Shielded in most office or data centres, so unshielded should be fine in your home.
