As long has your Yamaha has analogue multi channel inputs, you would have to go for the 760 and get it to decode the HD audio internally and out the LPCM via it's analogue connections.

Just done a search on your Yamaha and from the pictures I have seen (they where a bit blurred) it does not look like your receiver has analogue inputs. In which case you would need to change your AVR.

In which case the Sony BDP-S760 is definitely your best bet; the S560 does not have multichannel analogue outputs. And I second Andrew's assertion that the S760 would give you the most noticeable performance upgrade.

Chord Co. does an excellent analogue lead (sold in pairs).

Do you have your speakers set up in 7.1?

If you only have a 5.1 setup, connect the leads to correspond with what you have i.e. front left/right & centre, surround left & right and subwoofer.

If you do have a 7.1 setup, you either set up as 5.1 or set up as 6.1 using your surround back left as a 6.1 setup, if this make sense.

I ditched my PS3 and went for the S760 and IMHO it's superiour in every aspect over the PS3 and well worth the money. I also have a older Yamaha amp and let the S760 do the decodeing and the results are very good and a definate step up from standard dolby digital.

I'm connecting my BDP-S760 to my Arcam amp using four pairs of Chord Crimson 1m RCA interconnects - one of which I bought from you off fleabay
