Sennheiser RS220 headphones - ear pads too hot

I find the ear pads make my ears hot and itchy.

Can anyone suggest a cool fabric I can cover the pads with?

I had exactly the same problem with a pair of Grado 80is and spoke to an engineer at Alessandro who suggested playing with the headband to reduce pressure on the ears.

Didn't work though so I ended up selling them and replacing them with a set of Goldring 150s which are far more comfortable and can be worn for hours on end without any problem.

I know this thread is fours years old but I have not used the headphones in that time so here goes.

As the pads are made from a velvet type material, could I not glue a material that is naturally cool

over the pads? Possibly linen cloth?
