Question Sennheiser Momentum 4 - issue - Beware

I purchased a pair of Sennheiser Momentum 4 headphones fractionally over three years ago .

I was initially very pleased with them.

I am in my mid sixties, I didn't use them every day, I treated them with great care . They have never been dropped, got wet or have been stored in extreme temperatures. One day they simply would not power up. Nothing. I only managed to get any response if I plugged in the USB. Unplug them..dead as a door nail!

I have contacted Sennheiser on several occasions. There response is simply that being out of warranty there was little or nothing they could do. They went through all of the trouble shooting solutions, most of which I had tried and which failed to re-activate them.

I have looked on other forums and this does not appear to be an isolated problem but one which at no point did Sennheiser admit to. They never offered to look at them with regard offering a repair service but due, I believe to my constant correspondence offered me 20% discount off of another pair.

I personally found this quite insulting and a brush off.

Firstly my message is beware of this product although this may be a not too common fault if certainly is a recognised one out there. Secondly if anyone can offer a sensible solution to this issue I would be grateful.
