Hi thinking of buying some for portable use anybody use them? ,whats the difference in models ? what are they like?

Are the cx500 top of range ?can actually get them cheaper than cx55

I have recently purcahsed a pair of the cx400, and they have made train journeys (of which I do many) a much more pleasant experience as they isolate a bit of the outside noise (screaming kids, people going "I'm on the train. Hello? Hello?), which means that you don't have to turn up the music so much, so better for your hearing I would imagine.

I don't think they're so suitable for use whilst walking etc, as the fact that they "seal" in the ear amplifies any rubbing or knocks to the cable.

Sound quality is very decent.
