However unless you are desperate for the cash I would hang on to it as even these great little tuners do not sell very well in these days of DAB and you are unlikely to see much the otherside of £30 for it.
Thanks guys, gumtree hadn't occurred to me but has never yielded any sales for me in the past so I shall avoid it.
Hanging onto it is probably a good idea but it takes up a fair bit of room in a tiny flat!

Well, don't knock the old 217, but - and I have one myself - it does need a good strong signal to give of its best, better throw in an external aerial to help it along. Other than that though, it's a good little tuner.
I reckon the guy who suggested Thaimans restaurant was kidding, as was I. But in all seriousness what is the medium wave reception like? I've no use for fm but may be able to slot it in somewhere if it does passable mw.

Depends on reception quality, but given wintertime and reception issues usually encountered in the evenings, better off with DAB for all its faults I think.
