Many thanks to those who have been extremely helpful towards building a new setup, but I've decided to do what you've advised me not to do!

Rega Apollo, Naim Nait5i, and Rega R3.

There. I'm gonna disappoint you and let a Naim intrude in Rega harmony. I'm a grown man and make my own decision. It's time to let me live my own life.

There are so many good deals going on!

Enjoy your system!

For me was a very suffering task to build my system. You never know if you decided correctly until you have it all at home and the running in periods finish... When I was about to buy mine, I couldn't sleep at nights wondering if I was choosing right.

Hey MatthewPiano, you finally chose the Denon kit? Sure it sounds great even regardless the stars the brand receives from this mag when talking about 2-channels.

Sounds excellent wielder. Love the rega cdp's.

But what phono stage? And for the love of god you'll need to upgrade the cartridge on your rega. Factory pre-fits (2M inclusive) are great and all, but a bit of a splash makes such a huge improvement.

PMA1500AE won the EISA award and there are excellent reviews of both units around. One thing my search has shown me is that WHF ratings can be substantially out (in relation to my own preferences anyway).

If it sounds good to you its the right system.

Matthewpiano, personally I think the 1500 series Denon's are the some of the best products at the price, very musical, but even I forget about them sometimes when it comes to recommend a system. I have however suggested them a few times in the past. A good choice. Kef's larger iQ's match nicely too.

Sounds like a good system Battonwielder although i'm not a huge fan of Naim and found that the Rega R3's didnt offer the soundstage that i like...

I'm sure you'll enjoy the Rega CDP though; i demo'd one yesterday with a Cyrus 8v2 integrated amp and XPower amp along with B&W 685's and the sound was sublime. I also demo'd the Cyrus 6SE CDP and IMO, the Rega really outshone it :)

Thanks guys, I thought you would never talk to me again.ÿ

Smo, I know how you feel. That's why it's taken me so long to make the decision. There are too many variables and uncertainties to be parting with such a large sum of money.

Dan1979, what was the difference between the Rega and the Cyrus? I was tempted to order it at one point, but there's basically no American dealer at the moment.

Oh, I don't own any LP's. Another reason why the Nait5i is a better value for me with less money spent on features.ÿ
