So i have my 40" Sony, just moved and wanna put it on the wall oppersite my chair but think it may be to close to me.

Question is what is to close?, as in the best viewing distance .

I always work to the 2.5 x screen diagonal rule which in your case equates to 2.5m, the same as mine.ÿ
