This, folks, is a very big (by which I now mean 75 inches and up) television. It is very good also, but still not quite perfect.

Doctor, you are correct. Still, if someone gave me one ......! Note that it is quite a bit more expensive than most of last year's 75"/78" models from Samsung and Sony, which were about £6K or £7K when released and now, a year later, cost about £5K to £6.5K as they are being discontinued.

If you go to the link and click on the Discussions tab, you'll see at post #17 that Steve Withers agrees with you about a projector being better value! *acute*

However, much more worryingly for all plasma owners contemplating their first LCD television, at post #12 Jase7 says

"Great review Steve, thanks.

I have this TV and although I love it I came from a Panasonic 65VT65B so (naturally) I'm not finding the motion handling as impressive.

I'm still playing around with the settings and finding what works best; tend to have Auto Motion Plus on custom and LED Clear Motion turned on (with backlight increased to compensate) but still not totally sure if that's the right setting. Still see ghosting from time to time that drives me nuts.

J"

So even on this 2015 FLAGSHIP LCD television, with all the processing, motion is still not as good as on a plasma!

Since all four of my televisions are plasmas, I simply don't know what motion blur is. I dread recognising it when I see it though, were I to buy a very large, perforce LCD, television .....

why would you sell a 65VT65 to get an LCD *dash1*

You'll have to point me to where I said I'd be selling my Panasonic 65VT65 plasma.

i don't think he means you son of sj.. The guy who came from the VT to the LCD I think elisdj is on about??

Spot on - you was metaphorical. Sorry I never post clearly

You want a LCD 4k projector for that size.Sony's new VW 330ES at 6 grand fits the bill.
65 inch is as big as front projection TV should go.
If only rear projection TV had got its way with LCOS that would fit all viewing sizes with contrast beyond plasma levels.
