Has anyone had a chance to audition this set yet?

I'm in the market for a 46" LCD and currently down to this, the Sony W4500 (concerned about clouding issues) and the new Pioneer 46" LCD (awaiting reviews).

Also, any idea when this TV will be reviewed by the What Hi-Fi team?

 Cheers.

We're slated to take delivery of a 9-series review sample on November 5th. Not entirely sure yet what screen size it will be, but if it arrives on time it should make our January 2009 issue (on sale December 11th).

Any chance we can have a sneak preview of the review online before December 11th as I am torn between the 8 and 9 series and the money is burning a hole in my pocket and need to spend it before wife gets her mitts on it?

Hi,

Just wondering if you managed to get hold of one of these for review?

I have been debating on this TV and the Panasonic TH50PZ800B since Oct, so your review will sort of make my mind up.

Looking to purchase very soon really, so was wondering if there was any chance of a preview at all please?

Many thanks in advance,

Gary.

Andrew Everard:
Just checked with the test team, and it seems we got sent the LE55A956 instead.

It happens, I'm afraid...

Which should be OK as its the same panel, only bigger. So whatever you decide on this one, I would assume it could be applied to the 46" model.

Thanks for the quick reply. Any chance of mini review before it hits the press?

Thanks,

Gary.

no matter how good this set is, is it really really worth another £300 more. if you can afford this maybe worth looking at the sony x range or new phillips 9 series.

Thanks for the reply.

Changed my mind now and going for a plasma from the Panny PZ range.

I have been in the market for a new TV since May. I was hoping that the first led Samsung was going to come to the UK, but never did. Oh but then Samsung broke with the news that the next generation was coming to the UK

So waited and watched for release and deals. Well my old CRT is just about to give up the ghost, so could not wait any longer. I found a deal I liked and now I await my new LE46A956 next week..Woohoo, well excited
