Gel, I'm curious as to how much better this TV that you are highlighting

is compared to a substantially cheaper Samsung, the £849 UE55H6400 also at John Lewis. I know that the cheaper machine lacks Freesat, which could be corrected by an eBay purchase of a second-hand Freesat HD receiver box for about £60, but I think that it is better value. And the pictures on the H6400 series get universal praise - read the five reviews on this particular machine from the John Lewis link.

Yeah, you could well be right, that one does look very good. Nice spot.

I'm not sure about the H8000 series, but the stand on the Samsung H6400 series certainly swivels, which I think is a feature that doesn't get the praise that it deserves.

H7000 is the flat version of H8000. The 60-inch version is available for £1499. I would've bought this if it wasn't for the VT65 🙂
