It seems Samung owners have a few threads tonight

I have a couple of issues, the first is a lip sync issue which a few UE46c8000 owners are having, in particular when watching sky or using the tv in conjunction with the Onkyo TXSR608. I just want to know if anyone on here has experienced this issue and what they have done to resolve it? I did read else where that a firmware update can solve this, has anyone tried this and has it worked?

I am also having issues with the 3d quality when watching programmes I have recorded, the images in the back ground are quite blurred and around the sides, its almost like two images that are overlapping! its hard to look at times, my friend had to take the glasses off after 5 minutes. Is this a common problem, a calibration issue, a firmware issue or is the 3d on the samungs just poor?

Hi andyryan03, i also have a Samsung UE46C8000 tv and have to say i think it is a great TV, however, the crosstalk when watching the Man u v Arsenal game last week was awful, to the extent where i had to stop watching and flicked over to 2D.

Cant say i have noticed any lip sync issues but i am in the process of changing my receiver and may head down the Yammy route now .

I tried watching Barcelona and Real Madrid and the picture was poor, also ended up watching it in HD. I think films specifically made for 3D are good, but any content not intended for 3D effects doesnt seem to be impressive but maybe I have some issues that need addressing.

Think the firmware update has sorted the lip sync issue, however still having ussues with 3d picture quality, its mainly objects in the back ground that are blurred.

Anyone else having these issues?

I have a Samsung Plasma 3D TV and have the say the 3D quality is fantastic and have watched several football games with no issues at all but i think this is norm as after reading lots & lots of forums they all say that Plasma 3D is much better than LCD 3D at the moment. I also have a few lip sync issues when watching Sky through my 608 too but stangely it only happens now & again?

I sometimes have issues with lipsync on my Samsung 46c8000 but its very rare and my firmware is upto date,

I've found that certain games in 3D are unwatchable and it seems its mainly items in the back ground or dark scenes which tend t be bad. I know LED response time is near 40ms and Plasma is 0.01ms or something silly like that.

But afetr having my TV for 4 weeks now and watching several 3D bluRay films, Sky Broadcasts and a few MKV Side By Side downloads im not entirely impressed by how in consistent all this crosstalk is!

95% of my TV usage is 2D HD so im not bothered as its just brilliant at that though the Motion always needs changed when watching a 24fps movie to 50hz TV broadcasts,

I read a review on another website which stated all c8000 models are 60hz and this cuases issues with Sky 3D and thats why i pretty much dont watch anything now on Sky as its not watchable!

I do find that if the TV has eben on for a few hours 3D performs a lot better than when its just turned on

Crosstalk for LED/LCD seems to be the norm and Plasma performance is excellenent but i dont want a huge 46" Plasma TV as they dont look as good on a wall!
