Latest issue of RA's Connected mag has his answer to the ASA ruling. He has alledgedly spent a lot in getting independant proof from a "Ben Duncan" . Maybe WHF could talk to Ben and end argument of mains leads and sow some seeds of doubt into 1/0 binary brigade..

Haven't fully read his explanation to actually understand it but I'm Scottish and it's new year ..that's my excuse..

I also get Connected, although all I've ever ordered from RA is a bottle of CD cleaner a few years ago! It's an interesting/amusing read.

Not sure if it's the same Ben Duncan who makes, amongst other things, mains conditioners:

Happy New Year, by the way!

I'm relieved, given that I have spent the last three weeks supposedly on leave but in reality moderating these forums...

How exactly is Ben Duncan's proof independent when he is being paid by Russ Andrews?

As far as I'm concerned the ASA's judgement was independent as they have no agenda or bias.

As "independent" as all the medical surveys etc. paid for by the pharmaceutical companies. The ASA is probably about as uselful as the FSA who have proved as useful as an ashtray on a motorbike. OOps ASH will no doublt complain about that.

I've been watching this Russ Andrews news ever since the ASA gave them a slapped hand.

Fair play to russ. Hes proven that RFI in the mains DOES effect amplifiers 'measureably'. And that braided cables do lessen RFI 'measureably'. Which pretty much laughs in the face of all the none believers who all this time WANTED measured proof.

If Russ is lying, then the ASA will go and slap his hand again. I dont think hes going to risk putting his job on the line though

No he hasn't. He's shown that you can, if you play around long enough, make such an experiment give the result you want, which in this case was a rather insignificant reduction in a large RF signal. Hardly earth shattering but good enough for the mugs.

Was it 'measured' or not? If so, then its HIGHLY relevant.
