Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone could help me out with some ideas for my rugby club. We are looking to replace our ageing club set which was a rear projection tv bought very cheaply many years ago. I think the best size would be between 46-50 inch and the most important factor would be the handling of movement as it will be mostly used to watch sport. Also it would normally be in standard definition (though we may upgrade to Sky HD). We currently use the existing sets speakers however I am not sure that the new set would be man enough to cope with a loud club, so may need to look at that as well.

Finally our budget would be as little as possible, circa £1000-1200, but we would be prepared to pay more for the right set up.

Any ideas?

Ian

Obviously whilst finances are an issue its more about getting a larger screen TV which handles motion well on standard definition. A lot of the screens that I have seen don't seem to be able to cope with this.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

a panasonic 50g10 plasma , £915 from richer sounds , perfect for sport , freesat hd , no viewing angle problems , ie , no matter where in the club your sitting , to the sides or centre of the tv , the picture will be fine .. its a no brainer for me ...

If your watching England there is no fast motion - unless you count the ball in aerial ping pong. Don't worry about wide angle the ball never gets to the wingers!

I was thinking Panasonic, I have a 42V10 at home which is brilliant. Now to go and hunt down a deal on this one.

Afraid anything strong and larger behind our bar gets put in the team!!
