anyone who has them or knows well 2 models, please give an opinion on them compared side by side.I've only heard them on seperate times. I can get a good deal on ex-demo rs1, but they sound much worse than the rs6...so Im a bit lost.

i want an opinion on speakers only.the RS1 sound a bit veiled.the rs6 sound much more detailed and natural. I am right?

The clarity on the RS1s was very good indeed. They are basically a watered down RS5, the midrange and treble is comparable but due to the cabinet size, obviously, they lack the punch and muscle of their larger siblings.

The RS1s have the same tweeters and bass units as the RS6s. I found the latter sounded muddy, confused and somewhat imbalanced compared to the former. I struggle to see why everyone likes the RS6 so much as I've always found it to be quite boomy. The RS1 is OK but competitors like the Rega RS1s and AVI Neutrons are better to my ears. There's also others like EB Acoustics that are probably more talented. What price can you get them at? I has the RS1s for a few years BTW.

I think you're looking at a similar depth of bass between SA1 and Rega RS1 but the former is better defined and smoother. For goodness sake don't buy a pair of speakers because they're cheap but do so because you love them! Before PP shoots me, many people do love the MAs.

I love my ns-333.but they are so cheap I think I can get something better.but it is not easy.

I mean...i even prefer mine to the soavo 1.the soavo 900 standmounter is a little bit like my ns-333,just give it a bit more detail on the mids, so a bit better, but i prefer the treble on mine.I mean these are not normal speakers at all.the mica cone and the unique treble driver is lovely

Well I guess at that price you can take a chance and buy them. I doubt you'd lose much by selling them on, especially given their reputation and build quality. I can sympathise, it can get very tricky trying to find an improvement on a good thing.

Ear, it sounds like you need to stick with what you've got. What do you want to improve upon? Is there a budget in mind?

I think i am going for a rx-397 and ns-333 pack for 320 euros.haha.one more amp for me.the speakers alone are 167 euros

You seem really pleased with those Yamaha speakers so why change them?

Speakers are the hardest element to choose and get right in my opinion. Its the one part of my system that will get upgraded later in the year. Part of me is thinking of taking the safe option and going for the B&W 685s which I know sound superb with NAD amplification, but the other side of me is very interested in the Arcaydis DM1 and, given their try at home offer, I may well go down that route when funds allow.
