can anybody tell me whether these speakers are sutible for the rear channels and to be mounted on the wall, bought them for 50.00 quid in currys

Don't see why not it you can get the brackets you want, there rated at 8ohms for 100w, so they should handle surround duties just fine. What are you using for the front channels?

unfortunatly at the moment i am using acustic solutions av20 floorstanders, i have just managed to upgrade the amp and rears and am looking at upgrading the front and centre soon, willprob be roth oli c2 centre and something for the front, any suggestions

It's important to try to keep your speakers timbre matched if possible, i.e. From the same range. Although, it is more important for the front three. Just try to match the fronts when you can afford to update them.

will do will probs be roth oli 3 florrstanders which will match the centre and rears, does anybody know if the roth oli range is tonally matched or not?

The 3's should be matched with the Centre, as should the 2s if you don't want floorstanders, you'd expect them to use the same drive units.

Incidentally my 2s came with bespoke wall brackets in the box, which screw directly into the back of the cabinet (I still can't believe I only paid 50 quid for them!), perhaps the 1s will as well?
