rotel power amp servicing..is it worth it?

hi there,as the heading states does anyone think its a good idea to have power amps serviced and what do they actually do if they seem to be doing there job just fine

ive heard things about output bias adjustment but is this just unique to tube amps or can trannies get the treatment too?

if so is there much cost involved?

There are no serviceable parts in SS amps in majority of cases. You could take the cover off and gently brush and hover the insides. Yours has a simple PCB layout with no surface tracks (they are all on the underside) and well spaced out components so dust should not cause to many problems anyway.

As for bias adjustment I think that's just for valve amps.

ah thanks for that,i guess its just a case of wondering why i have had them for 15 years and they still work well,a testiment to rotels engineering or good luck maybe.
