i have a roksan kandy k2 amp and quad 11L with new orignal mid bass drivers sounds ok but a bit veiled the amp has had about 20 hours new drivers 25 hours may be its not run in yet. will running in help.

Are the speakers brand new also? if so, yes they do sound better after they have run in for a while.

Well as they are, then yes, give it some more time to run in, say...20 more hours or so

The amp should only take an hour or so to warm up. (It is purely an electronic device so run-in does not apply.)

Speakers a few days if you listen for long periods like I do or longer if you only play them for an hour or two a day.

Having said all that, the kit should still sound pretty good fresh from the box. Run-in/warm up (whatever) should just refine things a bit.

Never let any dealer or manufacturer get away with telling you the gear will take longer than their returns policy period to sound good due to 'run-in'. (More likely to be a dealer saying that in my experience.)

rymidd:it probley dont help than the source is spotyfi free music servies with CA dac magic

If you don't have any other source then try plugging in an optical lead from your DVD recorder or Freeview/Sky box to your DacMagic and see what BBC radio sounds like (BBC R2, R3 & R4 will have the best quality.)

Or try BBC iPlayer. Radio from that is encoded in AAC/AAC+ and sounds a lot better than 128k Spotify. (Especially BBC R2, R3 and R4 output).

Trevor Nelson's weekly programme (R2) is usually pretty good for soul/funk/jazz if you are into that. Even if you don't like BBC output it will be a good test. (Stick an afternoon play on from R4 for speech quality for example.)

I've done just that with my Humax 9300T PVR to my Fubar 4, radio sounds great, particularly enjoying Radio 6, hope they don't shut it down.
