Ellie Greenwich, one of the top US songwriters, has died at the age of 68.

In her 50-year writing and producing career (yes, she started as a teen!), she wrote an incredible list of classics - often as part of the Phil Spector stable - including:

River Deep Mountain High

Leader of the Pack

Da Doo Ron Ron

Be My Baby

Baby I Love You

And then he kissed me

Chapel of Love.. and many more
