Hey, not so long ago I wrote in with a problem which I needed sorting with my Onkyo TX SR308 ... and you kind gents gave me advice and I did get it sorted... thanks for that

Yesterday I received an email from them saying as to how they had this 'sale' and one of the things I noticed was that they were offering an Onkyo TX SR508 for less than I had paid at the end of December 2010 for the '308' ... mmm, I thought I wonder if ?

So I phoned the store and mentioned about the above and said that I wondered if maybe I could just simply trade-up and swap ?

The fellow said I would have to wait untill he saw the manager.....

He came back onto the phone and to my great surprise said ''yes'' and that they would wave the fee charged for 'paperwork' (10%) as well........ superb eh ? I got a step-up in quality at no extra charge ... all chuffed

(mind you the remote has two buttons not working... so I'm hoping for a replacement tomorrow)

Not too shabby.... I really do like Richer Sounds

I'm not too clued-up about so many things hi-fi/cinema which is why i frequent these pages ...... learning all the time but I didn't find a write-up on the Onkyo 508 all I can say is it sounds better//louder/clearer and more warm than the 308 .. :)

(don't dig me on choice of words... they seem to fit how I mean the description of the sound)
