replacement parts for wharfedales

the bass mid range got dameged on my evo 30 speakers took them to shop to be repaired went to pick up and new woofers look terrible so not happy they carnt get replacement like for like foud some whardale diamonds on ebay power handerlind,impendence and sensitivity are pritty much the same but frequency respone slightly different 60- 20000 hz instead of 50-20000 hz would this make much difference pulling hair out at the moment so any help would be great

Were these new replacement drivers from Wharfedale, some new third party drivers the shop obtained, a repair of the original damaged driver or something else?

Do you want to use the drivers from these speakers as replacements for your old ones or something else?

they weren't wharfedale parts as shop said carn't get original parts was third party onew wich looked cheap and nasty was going to buy diamonds 8.1 to use for parts but spoke to somebody today and have been told that the difference in frequency will be very noticeable and advised me to just buy some new speakers. but as 3 out of 4 drivers work fine dont realy want to do that

If you want a driver then I would send an email to rob at IAG Service department as detailed here. Manufacturers can usually provide replacement parts for their older speakers for a while after they stop selling them. Even if they have no drivers in stock they will know what can and cannot be used as a direct replacement. Drivers from one speaker will only rarely be a suitable replacement in another and in order to know one way or the other you need to contact Wharfedale or someone close to them.
