Hi
I have just purchased the new Rega RS5 speakers and I am wondering if the Rega Brio Amp will match the speakers well.
My system is in our living-room ( 20 x 15 square feet ).
The system consists allso of a turntable Rega Planar 3 - 24 with an Exact pick-up.

The dealer told me, that I can start out with the Brio and then go for the Mira later.
Right now the Brio is doing a good job...but I am not quite sure...

Does anybody have any experiences with this setup??? ( RS5 + Brio/Mira )

I use to own a Rega Brio 3 and found the bass to be lacking a bit. If you consider the bass to be lacking too, I suggest you buy a more powerful amp (75W/ch) with a remote. Rega amps have excellent sound and quality components, but features are a big thing they seem to be lacking. I can't help going to the amp each time to adjust volume and input settings.

For cd's and computer-based music, (Brio owner here), it would be a bit of a sideways move performance-wise; the convenience of a remote notwithstanding.

Having said that, the phonostage of the Mira is clearly superior. My unscientific assessment would be to slot the Mira phonostage right between the rega fono mini and the rega fono. Hope this helps.
