Planning to buy an entry-level turntable and have whittled my options down to these two. Anyone know how these compare?

Get the Rega.

Thorens' proper turntables don't start until you get to the TD309 level and above. All the others (TD 240 downwards) are some sort of over-priced variation on the old Dual CS-505 or CS-503 models.

Or push the boat out another £100 and get the end-of-line P3-24 with a modest cartridge from Lintone...

I second John Duncans suggestion. A much better deck for a £70 price difference although you will have to add in the price for a cartridge as unlike RP1 this one does not come with cartridge preinstalled. - Worth it though!
