Rear Surround Speaker Cable

Hi guys

New to the site and I apologise if this is posted in the wrong forum. I just purchased a Denon AVR X 2200 W. I also have a SVS SB 2000 as my sub and Cambridge Audio 6 as my front two speakers. Over the next 12 months I want to build my 5.1.2 system to get my dolby atmost.

In regards to the rear speakers I am stuck between the

Dynaudio M10

and the B and W 685 S2

Now, my concern is what would be used to connect either of those to my AVR? it looks like a different "slot" as my Receiver only has the twisty slots for black and red cables and not RA cables?

Sorry if the answer is obvious, but I just moved away from a surround sound system in a box so this is a bit new to me and I'm looking to set up a really nice system so appreciate any assistance in advance.

Your receiver speaker terminals have little plastic caps on the ends.
These are fitted to satisfy an EU dictat after some Muppet, Swedish (chef maybe?) I think, plugged a European mains plug into the speaker sockets.
Pry out the little plastic things and you can use banana plugs on your speaker cables.
I use 12 gauge stranded copper off a reel (Monoprice brand in the US) and Sewell Silverback banana plugs. I secure the metal caps on the banana plugs with thread locker to stop them coming off and coloured heat shrink for easier identification and to stop them shorting.
Any old 12 ( 14 or even 16) gauge multi-strand speaker wire will do for surround speakers. You can even get flat stuff to put under carpets or rugs.
Have a look on Amazon.

Or more to the point, someone plugged (or could be tempted to plug) 4mm banana plugs into a European mains socket, which makes plugging the terminals on amps and speakers, and not banning the sale of the banana plugs, all the more bizarre (though not atypical of European legislation).
