Hi All

I currently have a "Sony DAV-DZ 630" system in my house. The sound/quality is impressive.(I'm very happy with that) I want to keep these speakers and connect it to a AV-Receiver (have not yet bought). Is it possible to re-use the speakers, rather than letting them go to waste? I think it will go nicely with the Receiver I’ve got in mind... Sony STR-DH810

Thanks!

Two main problems:
a) the speakers are 3ohm impedance, with which AV receivers will struggle
b) The subwoofer is a passive design, powered from the main 'head unit'; AV receivers only have a preamp-level sub output, so need to be used with active speakers (ie those with an amp built-in)

Thanks Andrew.

Thats a waste then.$*^^(% What ohm range, in your opinion, will be fine for the AV Receiver?
