I was wondering if the premium service is really worth paying for, do you get access to more music that is unavailable to free scroungers like me or is it purely ad-free streaming ?

As far as I know its ad free and thats it.
If I was having a party I might spend £10 to get rid of the ads but for general listeninf the ads aren't that much of an intrusion.
It seems an odd business model to me - just hope it continues.
Premium also gives access to certain new releases earlier, such as the latest U2 album. There is also a lottery for concert tickets. I feel that it such a good service that I want it to continue and improve. So by buying Premium I am like an early investor, which has a feel good feeling about it.
I must admit it is excellent and so far the ads don't bother me that much - but that is only listening to it in work it would probably be a different story if I hooked it up at home.
