Question about nad amp settings

I recently got back into vinyl and have just bought a new turntable - a Project carbon.

Today I took delivery of some Dali Zensor 1 speakers and a used Nad 3220 PE which I believe is similar to the 3020.

The speakers are 6 ohms but the amp has two settings - 4 or 8 ohms. Does it matter which I have it set to? And there is also a soft clipping switch which is currently set off. Does this matter?

Sorry for the dumb questions. I haven't had a hifi system like this for 25 years. My old system was a Thorens 160, Sugden a25 amp and Monitor Audio speakers.

Thanks.

Set the impedance selector on the amplifier to 4 ohms (Normal) setting. The soft clipping function rounds the top and bottom of the signal off should you near clipping the amplifier. Best to leave it off unless your having a party.
