Hi AV commnunity,

I am turning to the experts on this forum to find answer to the following:

AV amp: Yamaha DSP-Z7

Speakers: Dali Ikon 6 5.1

Issue: The Dali package is composed of 6 Ohms speakers (Ikon 6) and 8 Ohms speakers (Ikon Vokal 2, Ikon On-The Wall)

--> What Impedance setting should I have on my amp - 6 or 8 Ohms?

Thanks

Do you mean what impedance 4 or 8 Ohms? If so, the answer is, it doesn't matter. I have my RS6s set at 8 Ohms but at 4 I can't tell the difference.

On the Z7, there is a way to choose either 4, 6 or 8 Ohms. I did not mention 4 because none of the the Ikons are 4.

Agree with Mr Snails. As long as you're not going to be using a second set of speakers on the same amp channels - for example into a another room, or anything like that - won't matter whether you choose 6 or 8 ohms.
