Qed profile hdmi

Does the latest qed profile support Ethernet and audio return channel?

It only says v1.4, but that means nothing as I've learnt!

If it says v1.4 (although it should've said "high speed"), then it will support Ethernet & audio return channel.

It won't necessarily support Ethernet I don't think - as you say, 1.4 shouldn't be used to describe a cable - it should say High Speed with Ethernet if it does support it. However, a quick check on the QED website (link) shows the QED Profile cable has the High Speed with Ethernet badge next to it, so this shows it does.

Whoever is advertising it as a "1.4 cable" should be contacted and told to stop (assuming it's a company) as this is misleading.

You are right it does say Ethernet high speed on the qed site.

Yes, audio return channel (or ARC) is part of the High Speed spec, as is the ability to pass 1080p and 3D signals.
