PS500 or GS1000i ??

Hi There,

I am looking at buying a pair of Grado's.

Just wanted to know which would be better the headphones to buy PS500 or GS1000i?

I listen to a variety of music, Rock, pop, classic...

Hi Bobby,

We have both on demo here and they do both offer very different presentations, you really do need to listen to both but the PS500's are very special as they give you quite a large chunk of the PS1000's without the massive price tag, some people though don't like the on ear design compared to the larger cups of the GS1000.

The GS's have a little more body and richness where as the PS's have fantastic top end detail, again a demo is the only way you are going to know what you like unfortunatley.

Thanks for your reply.

I recently tried the PS500 from a friend who just bought a pair.

I have been using Bose QC15 for traveling but when I heard the PS500s I was very impressed..

Personally I dont like on-ear headphones and I think the GS1000 may well be better suited for me..

I dont intend to use the Grado for treveling, only for home hifi use..
