PS3 vs Arcam DV79

Hello, in your expert opinions, how would the PS3 compare to the Arcam DV79 with regards to non Blu Ray DVD's? & does the PS3 come multi region or does it need a code or hack?

Can't answer question one, but the PS3 doesn't do multiregion and AFAIK there are no codes or hacks

As I run a DV79 in my home cinema system, I'd say the Arcam definitely has the edge over the PS3 when it comes to DVD picture quality, but then of course it doesn't play Blu-ray discs.
