PS3 Hi-def audio output

Hi all,

Just taken delivery of a Sony STR-DA2400 AV receiver: got it all set up and I'm largely happy: it's got a really impressive 'out of the box sound'.

But I can't get my PS3 to output any hi def audio regardless of how I set the output (to bitstream or linear pcm) or when I check all the boxes in the PS3's audio settings menu.

Any help would be well appreciated.

Now answered my own question from an earlier thread: need to set it to linear PCM and PS3 sends signals direct to amp.

Sounds phenomenal!
