PS3 and audio

Hi all,

I've put an optical cable from a PS3 to my AV amp and the HDMI from the PS3 to the TV (my amp doesn't have HDMI inpurs). However, I'm getting no output from my amp. Any clues, anyone?!

Have you set the PS3 to output audio via optical instead of HDMI? I'd have a look through the sound settings and double-check.

If that's OK, is the amp set to the correct input? There should be a way of assigning the amp's optical input to something ('DVD', 'CBL/SAT', 'AUX' etc.).

These are just two possible problems, it could be a number of things.

Yeah, found another set of menus with the optical option and all ok now.
