PS3 720p problems . . . .

I have a problem with games that are 720p they are only coming thru to the TV in 576p for some reason. Everything is in the right settings as far as i can tell and it still appears to be happening ? Running Panasonic TH-42PZ70BA plasma tv with QED Qunex HDMI cable connecting the two together.

Anybody heard of this or know how i may solve the problem ??

Call of duty which is 1080p comes thru fine in all its glory and there is no problem with any connection etc. So i can only presume i am missing something in the settings ?

It sounds like your TV is telling the PS3 it cant handle 720p. As some games are only 720p and PAL, the PS3 will send the PAL signal. You could try manually altering the display settings - ensure 720p is ticked.
