Projector comparison to buy..

I've been looking to purchase a new projector on a tight budget.

I've seen an ex demo Epson 6100w (the award winner) for circa £750, and have also seen a factory refurbished Optoma HD83 for a similar price.

Both are fully guaranteed, so nothing to separate them there.

Would you go for the newer, budget Epson or the slightly older but originally more premium Optoma... Or something else altogether?

Are there any details you need to make the recommendations?

They both use different tech one being dlp the other LCD. Some people get a rainbow effect when watching dlp. I recommend you audition the both types and see which you prefer they can look quite different.
