problems connecting blu-ray - av-receiver - tv

i have tried to connect my blu-ray (samsung) via onkyo tx-nr906 to tv (sharp) using hdmi. didn't get pictures/sound. have done it now via hdmi blu-ray to tv and using toslink blu-ray to onkyo (this works but i want to get rid of as many cables as i can).

does anyone have had this problem too once ?

could it be that blu-ray uses hdmi 1.4 and onkyo receiver hdmi 1.3 ?

sounds like you have not enabled the HDMI settings correctly on the ONK.

hi, checked everything several times and everything was correct

monitor out : hdmi main (was already ok since i had a mediabox coupled via onkyo [hdmi] and from onkyo coupled to tv [sharp])

coupled blu ray via hdmi 2 (in) in settings and physical on onkyo. hdmi 1 was occupied by mediabox.

Hi,

Connect the Samsung BDP to HDMI in 1 and the Sharp to the HDMI (out) main. The HDMI (out) main should then connect to one of the Sharp HDMI inputs. Select this input from the TV menus and then select HDMI 1 from the Onkyo remote and the picture/sound should appear onscreen.

You may have to enable sound and vision to be output via HDMI cable on the Samsung?

I don't have any of your equipment nor their manuals so the above is guesswork.
