pre/main amplifier

Hello ! Recently i inherited a pair of B+W 805 S speakers. Would the Marantz PM 7001 KI be a good amplifier for these speakers ? I like to play my music, mainly classical, in 2 channel stereo, rather loud. Please help.....

That is SUCH a wide ranging question and will depend on what sort of a sound you like, personally.

Is there a hi-fi shop near you, where you can try different amps with your speakers ? It's really the only way to find out for sure......

The 805s need quite a lot of power up them to sing nicely, think along the line of big power krell, GamuT or Musical Fidelity.
