Hi Guys

I was wondering if guys on the forum or from whathifi have had any experience with Polk audio speakers. I have a polk audio setup and info and views about them are hard to find,would like to know if anyone besides me has a pair!Ha ha

Currently I have a pair of RTI A5 floorstanders,a CSI A4 centre,a pair of RTI A1 bookshelf speakers and a dsw pro 500 powered sub.All this is coupled with an onkyo 606(thanks to whathifi staff and forum guys for helping me make the choice),hoping to post some pictures soon but the setup isnt complete yet,still need a new telly (crt at the moment) and blu ray player,takes awhile for the latest stuff to arrive in SA.

But that's besides the point what are your thoughts on polk ? Love them or Hate them ?

Me = Love them

I have been using polks for the last 2 years (R-300 fronts, CSR centre, OWM 3 rears, PSW 10 sub) with an onkyo 605 and although a budget system, really do pack a punch. Have yet to hear a bad polk speaker! Am going to change my front 3 for RTI's in a few months, but keep hold of the ones I replace to make a good second setup. I never saw polks when I lived in England and only really got into them when I moved to the states. You get great deals over here on polks from Frys, which is like richer sounds the size of a tesco superstore that sells everything!!!!Saying that I'd still rather have a sevenoaks or independent store to shop at...you now, the ones where they actually now what they are talking about!!!!

Curious question , do you not like yours ,or are you seeking comfort in your choice of brand?

I've been using Polk LS/FX Bi-Pole Di-pole Rear speakers for over 10yrs , never felt the need to change them

They do not make themselves obvious which is exactly what you need and give great rear effects
