Please help me decide (pc speakers)

Hi all and welcome to my topic.

I am currently looking for a new speaker system for my pc. two systems really are contenders in my view;

- Hercules XPS 2.0 60 (70 pounds)
- Altec Lansing 3022 (70 pounds)

These two systems look very different, the Hercules is the more powerful one.
The Altec Lansing has a overpowering bass and the Hercules can't be driven to high volumes without distortion.
Really difficult because i like both. Can anybody make up my mind?

Is £70 your max budget? I suspect that many would recommend that you spend a little more.

my budget is 100 pounds. and i will use my speakers for music, games and movies.
