Hi all,

Hopefully the gurus on the what hifi forum can help me out again. After taking advice of some of the people on this forum I am a proud owner of a Panny TH42PX80 and PS3, and I am absolutely loving it.

However it is now time to start think of surround sound setups and to be honest I am far to confused. My initial thoughts were one of the Sony systems HTSS1300, which looks to fit my requirements exactly. However one of my good firends has put doubts into my head by recommending I go down the seperates route with either one of the Onkyo Amp (605) or the new Sony (DG820). I would like to spend no more than the 300 mark (hence the HTSS1300),
so I would have to buy the amp and save up for a little while to buy
the speakers.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, are the seperates systems supiuor to the Sony all in one, which of the amps would people recommend.

Thanks in advance

Yes the seperates are well worth the extra outlay! there doing some good deals at richer sounds at the mo

Thanks Garethwd

I expected that to be the answer, I used to have a Yamaha Processor (E800) with a cambrige audio amp and mission speaker setup and it was quite frankly superb sound.

Piorities have changed so I really need a small speaker setup, have you any recommendations? For the amp I think I will got with the Onkyo 605.

Cheers

Steve

Yes i would buy seperates and go for the Jamo A102HCS5 you can get these for £185, then buy an amp onkyo 576 for £270 qed speaker cable £1.50 a metre.Total cost if you need speaker stands £500 - 600 well worth it.Or try the onkyo htx-22HD not heard this or seen any reviews but claimed to be one of the first all in one to offer true Hd audio for £400
