Hi Please could you answer some or all of my questions on my denon AVR2808
1 In Sterreo mode I realised I have has my restorer (for MP3) swiched on (HQ setting) so i switched it off as I only listen to CDs - however when i did this i thought the sound lost detail and was not as pleasent to listen to - is this normal or is it my bad ears!! ?
2 After listening to music through my Denon DCD700S I thought i would experiment and try listening to CD music through my SOny BD 350 Blue ray player and the sound quality vastly improved.... I have this wired to my amp via optical - does this mean the DAC in my amp is better than the CD player ? As I find this hard to beleive.
3 When I apply the Audassy Room EQ in sterreo mode the sound seems to widen significantly - does this mode apply a "virtual Surround" It also seems to compress the bass slightly (which I like) but when I look at the eq it has completley cut off the 63 Hz on my right channel and it has boosted to the max 16HZ on the left! is there any way of altering the eq in Audassy Flat mode ? without having to go into Manual and loosing whatever else Audassy does to the sound ?
Any advise would be greatly apriciated.
