Playback issue on ipod - 2 albums with same title

My wife has an ipod which had 'Alison Moyet - Singles' on it. I recently ipmported 'The Smiths - Singles' for her.

Now, if she chooses either of those albums, the list of songs alternates between a Alison Moyet song and a Smiths one.

How can i stop this from happening ?

Should be as simple as entering artist info into the "album artist" field for each album.

Alternatively, rename the album as "[Artist] - Singles" rather than just "Singles"

Putting a full stop after "Singles" for one of the albums can be enough to stop itunes getting confused. I have done that a few times when making up my own compilations.
