Just wanted to weigh in on the current advice regarding Plasma break in.  Do the current plasmas (Panasonic 11th gen) need to run a 100 hour break in, or should these sets be good to go out of the box?  I have seen others swear by the 100 hour "Break in DVD" just wondering if this is a waste of time?

No you must break this in, I took mine tp piecies and cleaned it with a can of air then I broke it by doing this I put a new part in but it was the wrong part so it broke even more and I had to tell the rental company what I had done, so don't do that only brake it in by watching it

From what I've read on the forums, the general consensus seems to be that plasma break in isn't needed any more with today's designs. Factory settings are usually not ideal, however. Best is to set it up properly using a dvd-disc with THX picture adjustments on it. (If you have any dvd from the like of Star wars or pixar animation etc, it's on there.)
