Pioneer VSX LX60?

It is a great amp with a very unique sound, i personally really like it and the lx70 too. The new pioneers are more clean cut sound to them and are made differently.

£450 sounds a really good price is that new?

Was there anything in particular you wanted to know about it?

Will be a step up from your 819 I would think....as to whether it'll be better than similar priced newbies like Onkyo's 608 I don't know.

Well I can get a VSX-LX52 for 589 and the lx-60 is 450 used.

Reading on another thread there seems to be huge issues with the lx60 amp freezing and people having to take it back for repairs.

Its on a well known auction site, but not sure wether to take the risk.

Now that I got RX1 I think my new speakers deserve more than my VSX819 can give.

Ask him/her how long they've had it and whether it's been repaired/upgraded?

I currently own the VSX-LX70 and its a fantastic amp, ive had it for a couple of years now, i do believe the LX60 is the same as LX70 in terms of performance.
Id be tempted to buy it for that price.

Just seen a LX-51 from a shop for 450.00 min cond as well

My dad has the lx70 and i used too but never got to used master audio and dolby true high definition, i have seen it in action on my dads though and the freezing issues you mention can occur when you select master audio, but all you have to do is stop it and just start over again the it has worked fine every single time. It certainly is not a problem and has only happened a couple of times.

The lx-51/52 will definetely have a different sound but whether it sounds better is another question.

Would rather save a bit and get a new VSX-LX52 for 599.00

At least its got a warranty ect. Dont like spending that type of money on someone I dont know or what I cant see.

Just out of interest ( and the seller may be a regular on here for all I know!) I've just offered £375 if it doesn't sell......see what happens
