Pioneer BDP-LX71 display question

Can anyone who's reviewed or owns one of these tell me if it's possible to turn off the blue neon light on the front?? The manual (I downloaded it from Pioneer) says there's a FL OFF option - but it sounds like this just turns off the display?? Would prefer to have the display on, but the neon light off...

You can adjust the display and blue light at 4 levels - display & light full on; display medium & light full on; display low and light full on; both off
