i have just bought a samsung le 40b550 tv and was wondering if anyone had any settings to get the best out of the picture or knew of a web site where i could get some ideas.my sources are sky hd and ps3 for blurays.

Black adjust: Off

these settings are for viewing hd in a dark room .. if watching sd , or viewing in brighter conditions then you may want to turn up the backlight ....
 
thanks for that did you get the settings through trial and error or did you have the set calibrated.i will give them a try and see what happens.
 
i got them online , my own tv b650 looked much better when i applied the relevant settings from that site , give it a shot , at least you have a starting point ...

i think whfi should put a link to the settings they used for review with each tv review , yes i know that ambient lighting , distance from screen etc etc means they are not guaranteed to suit , but people want a starting point , theres more and more options on tvs these days , it would surely be helpful ??
 
i agree whfi should give us some clue as to how they test and trail the tvs they review and the settings that are used.
